Netflix Renews ‘Young Wallander’ for Season 2

The First Season Consisted of Six Episodes

Netflix has given a sophomore season renewal to European drama “Young Wallander,” which debuted with its six-episode first season in early September. Based on the series of novels by Henning Mankell, the show is described as a modern reimagining of the detective story with Kurt Wallander navigating the increasingly violent environment of present-day Sweden. In the first season, after he was unable to save a teenager from a gruesome attack, Wallander had to learn to cope with his guilt in order to solve the crime.

Swedish actor Adam Pålsson stars as the eponymous detective. The streamer has not said how many episodes the second season will consist of.
