Peacock has opted against a second season of its reboot of 1980s sitcom “Punky Brewster.” The series followed Soleil Moon Frye as a grown-up Punky as a single mother of three who mentors a fellow foster care alum. Cherie Johnson returned as Punky’s best friend, with newcomer Quinn Copeland co-starring as Punky’s protége and Freddie Prinze, Jr. as her ex-husband. The cast also included Lauren Donzis, Oliver De Los Santos and Noah Cottrell. Ten episodes were produced.

The original “Punky Brewster” aired on NBC from 1984 to 1986, and for two additional seasons in first-run syndication from 1987 to 1988.
