Previews Of The Next Two Thursday Night Football Matchups

The next two midweek games are going to be integral for the playoff structure in the NFL. The Las Vegas Raiders are currently the No. 9 seed in the AFC. The team is looking to jump the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins to claim the No. 7 seed. The Raiders will try and regroup with a matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The following week, the Minnesota Vikings will take on the New Orleans Saints. The Vikings are currently the No. 8 seed, but that ranking could change before Week 16. On Week 15, the Vikings take on the Chicago Bears, who are sitting with an identical 6-7 record and are the No. 9 seed. As for the Saints, the team will look to hold onto the No. 1 seed and the league’s only bye week in the postseason.

Information For Week 15: Raiders vs. Chargers

From Vegas to live casinos in NZ, nobody has any idea if the Raiders can pull out a playoff push. On Sunday, the Raiders’ chances of making the postseason took a significant hit after their 44-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. With just three games left in the season, the Raiders take the field on Thursday to try and take a very winnable game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chargers are awful on the road, tallying a 1-5 record when they are away. Los Angeles is guaranteed a losing season, while the Raiders are fighting to stay alive in the postseason. While the Raiders have made strides as a whole this season, missing out on the playoffs would be a huge blow. If the Raiders want to swoop in and claim that last postseason berth, a win on Thursday will have to start the rally.

Information For Week 16: Saints vs. Vikings

Even though this game is technically on a Friday, the Christmas special will be a part of Amazon Prime’s package for Thursday Night Football. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can catch all the action on FOX. Hopefully, by this time, Drew Brees will be fully recovered from a punctured lung and his 11 rib fractures. He has missed the last three games due to the injury, and his timeline to return is up in the air. If Brees returns, the Saints could be still in contention for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

As for the Vikings, the team could be in contention for making the postseason. The Vikings are currently the No. 8 seed in the NCF and are just one game back of the Cardinals. The Vikings have been hot as of late, winning four of their last five games. If this game has significance, it will make Christmas even more exciting.

Information For Week 17

There is no Thursday Night Football game this week. All games will be played on Sunday as the season turns to January. The following week will be the beginning of the NFL Playoffs.
