‘SNL’: A Not-So Family-Friendly Musical Revue Returns to Broadway

In a skit on the November 13, 2021 edition of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” a mother, father (Aidy Bryant & Kyle Mooney) and their young daughter attend the theater. The family is glad to be there on Broadway following the year-long hiatus due to the pandemic.

The mother had recalled that she had seen this musical revue as a kid and it was “fun for the whole family.” But the family soon realized the featured songs about sex and drugs, performed by Cecily Strong, Bowen Yang and the night’s host Jonathan Majors.
