‘SNL’: Angelo and Jake Perform at Their Superfan’s Wedding

In a skit from dress rehearsal but cut for time from the April 2, 2022 live edition of NBC’s “SNL” (“Saturday Night Live“), the parents of a newlywed bride (Cecily Strong) gifted their daughter a huge present for her wedding: a performance from her favorite singer, “international singing sensation” Angelo (Aristotle Athari).

Her husband Steve (Alex Moffat) was not enthused by Angelo’s renditions of requested classic tunes, which led his wife to call her new spouse a “moron.”

Later accompanying Angelo was famed Ghana drummer Jake (Jerrod Carmichael).
