‘SNL’ Reflects on the Origins of Nickelodeon Slime

In a skit on the February 26, 2022 edition of NBC’s “SNL” (“Saturday Night Live“), Chris Redd and Alex Moffat were.hosts of a TV special called “Behind the Slime” which examined the evolution of the green Nickelodeon slime.

A running joke throughout its montage of “clips” of the Nickelodeon show “You Can’t Do That on Television” (where the slime had originated) were the “kids” commentary about life. Those comnents were clearly out-of-step with today’s values.
