‘SNL’ Welcomes John Mulaney in to the Five Timers Club

In a skit on the February 26, 2022 edition of NBC’s “SNL” (“Saturday Night Live“), John Mulaney hosted his fifth “SNL” episode and thus, joined the series’ exclusive club: the “Five Timers Club.”

Helping induct Mulaney were legendary five-timers Steve Martin, Candice Bergen, Tina Fey, and Elliott Gould. Also present was Paul Rudd whose fifth career “SNL” hosting gig was hampered from the height of the Omicron variant on Dec. 18 that sent most of the cast home. Emmy award-stage interrupter Conan O’Brien made a guest appearance, anxious to say “Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!” even though it had been uttered a half-hour earlier.
