Drew Barrymore to Narrate NBC Dating Reality Show ‘First Dates’

No Premiere Date Has Been Announced Yet

Drew Barrymore has joined upcoming NBC dating show “First Dates” as the narrator. Produced by Ellen DeGeneres and based on the UK format, “First Dates” will revolve around the highs and lows of multiple meetups occurring at a restaurant in Chicago. At the end of each episode, the daters will reveal whether they’d like to see their partners again.

“First Dates” has received an eight-episode order from NBC, and will begin production in July. No premiere date has been announced at present.

Barrymore will also headline new Netflix comedy “Santa Clarita Diet,” the tale of a husband (Timothy Olyphant) and wife realtors (Barrymore) leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita.
