Netflix Orders Final Expanded Season of Drama ‘Ozark’

Netflix has announced a fourth — and final — season of drama “Ozark.” The streamer has ordered 14 new episodes, four more than the prior three seasons. That will bring the total episode tally to 44.

Debuting in July 2017, “Ozark” stars Jason Bateman and Laura Linney as a married couple who relocate their family to the Ozarks following a money laundering scheme gone wrong. The series has received 14 Primetime Emmy nominations to-date (including Outstanding Drama Series, with Bateman winning for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series and Julia Garner for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Bateman has also received two Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor — Television Series Drama.
