The 3-hour telecast of the 1964 family classic “Mary Poppins” (Women 18-34: 0.7/3; Men 18-34: 0.4/2; Women 18-49: 1.1/4; Men 18-49: 0.7/3) made ABC the most-watched network on Saturday night.
While ESPN’s 2015 Heisman Trophy Presentation (Women 18-34: 0.42; Men 18-34: 1.10; Women 18-49: 0.53; Men 18-49: 1.27) did relatively well among all the cable telecasts on the night, it fell a slight 3 percent in total viewers (3.062 million vs. 3.151 million) and 8 percent among adults 18-49 (0.90 rating vs. 0.98 rating) from the year-ago Heisman Trophy event. It earned its lowest viewership since 2006 and is the third-lowest Heisman ever since 2001.
Leading out of the Heisman Trophy Presentation was the documentary “30 for 30: Four Falls of Buffalo” (Women 18-34: 0.32; Men 18-34: 0.78; Women 18-49: 0.31; Men 18-49: 0.89) chronicling the Buffalo Bills’ four trips to the Super Bowl in the early 90’s without winning the prestigious Lombardi Trophy. Comparatively from the year-ago post-Heisman “30 for 30: The U, Part 2” doc, it was down 21 percent in total viewers (1.490 million vs. 1.877 million) and about a third among adults 18-49 (0.60 rating vs. 0.89 rating).
