A week after getting bested by the World Series on Fox, NBC returned to the Sunday night winners circle with “Sunday Night Football” which featured the Oakland Raiders’ return to a high-profile prime time window as they faced defending Super Bowl champion and their division rival Denver Broncos. Despite the network win, “SNF” experienced a hefty year-over-year decline — an ongoing ratings trend for prime time NFL games this season. Compared to the year-ago Philadelphia-Dallas matchup from 11/08/15, Denver-Oakland was down 24 percent in households (10.4 rating vs. 13.6 rating) and down 20 percent in viewers (18.325 million vs. 23.047 million).
The Sunday 10 p.m. dramas on ABC and CBS — “Quantico” and “Elementary,” respectively — continued to disappoint as each sunk to a new series-low in same-day viewership and tied a respective series-low in adults 18-49 same-day delivery (each a 0.6 rating in the demo).
